Tribute to Fallen Heroes
Our nations are faced with the threat of terrorism that comes in various forms. We are all affected either directly or indirectly. It’s in the face of such calamities that our brave and gallant soldiers rise. It’s important to recognize at all times, our unsung heroes who sacrifice themselves to safeguard our nations’ security, peace and stability.
We must pay tribute to these soldiers, the unsung heroes in our midst. To the fallen soldiers we say a good fight you fought, to the ones we have we say ‘Thank You’.
Written tributes in the form of eulogies or poems can provide a heartfelt way to express your sentiments to a single soldier or veteran, or the troops in general. Feel free to share these original tributes with friends, family and any service person you wish to honor.
Sample Tributes to Fallen Heroes / Dead Soldiers
You left behind your sisters and your brothers.
Leaving your beloved children and wives,
You put on hold, your dreams-your lives.
On foreign soil, you found yourself planted
To fight for those whose freedom you granted.
Without your sacrifice, their cause would be lost
But you carried onward, no matter the cost. Many horrors you had endured and seen.
Many faces had haunted your dreams.
You cheered as your enemies littered the ground;
You cried as your brothers fell all around. When it was over, you all came back home,
Some were left with memories to face all alone;
Some found themselves in the company of friends
As their crosses cast shadows across the land. Those who survived were forever scarred
Emotionally, physically, permanently marred.
Those who did not now sleep eternally
‘Neath the ground they had given their lives to keep free.
With a hand upon my heart, I feel The pride and respect; my reverence is revealed
In the tears that now stream down my upturned face
As our flag waves above you, in her glory and grace.
Freedom was the gift that you unselfishly gave
Pain and death was the price that you ultimately paid.
Every day, I give my utmost admiration
To those who had fought to defend our nation.
To all our Soldiers past and present, God Bless
Glory to the National Flag, long may she wave
So many have been covered with her when they’ve
gone to their grave
So many of us have taken for granted that our
freedom will always be
We tend to forget those who have kept that
right for you and for me
A Soldier will stand and fight all night to
keep us from harm
While some of us sit at home and refuse to
lift an arm
Some sit around and complain all day how
wrong this war must be
While a Soldier pushes that aside to continue
to fight for you and me
Some sit around and complain about the food
their going to eat
While a Soldier works straight through
hungry and weary on his feet
While you sit around and complain about what
you have or where you live
Remember what a Soldier somewhere for you is
about to give
A Soldier stands tall and proud and ready for
the fight
We must stand strong behind them through
their hard and arduous plight
What they did to you men, that wasn’t so nice
They came and they killed them
Yes they did,I wonder if it was in Allah’s name
Our soldiers lost their lives
They left their kids together with their wives
Why has it come to this?
Why is it always like this?
Let’s stay together
Let’s love one another
Let’s stay like brothers and sisters forever…We are all the same,we all humans
Can’t you see the colour of our blood,we’re not
mutants
Lost souls adding up to 63
Leaving all this sorrow upon we
Heey you killers, this is not good I mean can’t you
see
This is for our fallen soldiers we’re gonna miss
you
And for the swollen hearts were gonna get you
Each day you spend in camps
Each time you eat cold food
In our hearts we hold you highly
In our minds we think of you daily
We say it as often as we would like
But each time you hold that gun
My son calls you a brave hero
Each time you fight to protect us
We smile to say we are proud of you
For not every one can do what you do
But just because you have the courage
Know your the pride of our country
And for every fallen soldier out there
Your life will forever be remembered
Your patriotism will be admired by many
We may not sing songs for you
But we tell our kids of your bravery
And we forever pray to God
That your reward be made great
And your sacrifice never go in vain
For each life that you saved
May He grant more glory to your crown
And for the peace we enjoy
May He grant more to your family
I say you just rested,
Heaven needed a hero,
You the best hero we ever had.You left the people you loved most,
For security is all you thought of,
You a true example of being patriotic,
Regardless of tribe, color, religion you fought to protect us all,
We salute your efforts,
We stand with your families,
Our men, forever we will heart you and respect your loyalty.
We will remember
We will remember you, my brother
You gave your young life so we could live free in tranquility
You protected us from harm and from terrorist lurking
And we will not forget your sacrifice and your death
We will remember your death
We will remember your sacrifice
We will remember your brave death
We will remember your death and sacrifice.
Even though you are no more,
Your sacrifice lives on,
For your courage was way beyond normal,
You led us to a new dawn,
We reaped peace as you faced war,
Got better lives as you gave up yours,
You fought till your last breath,
You gave your all till there was nothing left,
God bless you our heroes.
and stood outside
They never feared to venture out
And fight for our freedom. When we had those sweetest dreams
They never slept
Just for the sake of usAm in tears seeing the bodies of our fallen heroes
It pains to see that you are gone
But a million questions runs through my mind
Why this to our heroes who fought for us daily? They died fighting for our freedom
Just to set us free from terrorists
In our hearts they’ll live forever…
Rest in peace our fallen heroes.
when she had heard that her son had died.
He didn’t die because he was sick,
or he didn’t die because he was in a wreck.
He died doing what he felt was right.I watched a father try to hold back his tears,
His son had lived only a scant 19 years.
His son had died nine thousand miles away,
And what was there left for a father to say?
He got down on his knees and said a prayer,
His brave son knows his father did care.I stood and watched as a little girl cried.
She didn’t understand why her brother had passed on;
Why he never again played with her on the lawn.
Looking at the little girl’s tears I knew,
That her big brother died fighting for you and me.
There is honor in A Soldier you hear it when he talks.
There is courage in A Soldier you can see it in his eyes,
There is loyalty in A Soldier that he will not compromise.
There is something in A Soldier that makes him stand apart,
There is strength in A Soldier that beats from his heart.
A Soldier isn’t a title any man can be hired to do,
A Soldier is the soul of that man buried deep inside of you.
A Soldier’s job isn’t finished after an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week,
A Soldier is always A Soldier even while he sleeps.
A Soldier serves his country first and his life is left behind,
A Soldier has to sacrifice what comes first in a civilian’s mind.
If you are civilian – I am saying this to you…..
next time you see A Soldier remember what they do.
A Soldier is the reason our land is ‘Home of the free’,
A Soldier is the one that is brave protecting you and me.
If you are A Soldier – I am saying this to you…..
Thank God for EVERY SOLDIER Thank God for what YOU do!

Our guns ready to defend our nation
We had prepared for months
We knew every hide out in the terrorist zone
We were many and we were unified
We clashed with the terrorists for hours
Gunshots were deafening
Grenades raised storms of dust.I could hear cries of pain all around me
I was blinded by dust but I kept shooting
Suddenly, it felt like I was all alone
Everyone around me had been killed
It felt like an eternity
I thought I had survived it
I looked at my chest and that’s when I realized it
My sternum had been sprayed with bullets
I looked up and the last thing I saw was a terrorist’s gun to my face
The last thing I heard was a gunshot and a thump on my forehead
The last thing I felt was a fading pain in my skull
Faces of my loved ones flashed in my mind
Then white light
Finally at peace
In the battlefield.RIP to our lost soldiers.
Waking up to the possibility of not seeing the end of the dayYou learnt to live with pain, with loss
For since you gave up your lives to serve the nation your days are filled with loss and pain. You see your friends breathe their last,
Having nothing to do to save them,
The thought of what their families will go through taunts you
Yet knowing your family might go through the same
But praying hard you conquer so you see them again.Your life is no more yours
Your happiness lies in the safety of the country
Guns are now your best friends
Family,
You only see them in the photos in your wallets
For our fallen heroes,
Your memories in us will live
For because of your sacrifice we are safe
To those who remain
In our prayers forever you’ll be.
Our heroes you are
And role models forever be
Your victory is our victory
Your loss our loss
And your pain we’ll also share.
We sleep beside our guns while you sleep beside your wives…
You sleep in your house while we sleep in hemas…
You wear nice caps while we wear heavy helmets…
You wear designer vests while we wear Iron vests…
In the morning you are awoken by sweet alarm tones while we are woken up by horrible sound of bombs and grenades…
You move around town in range rovers and latest cars but we move in tanks and buffaloes…
We stay awake just for you to sleep…
We kill for you to live…
We stand side by side with death itself so that the future of your generation can be assured…
We sacrifice our today for your tomorrow…We are strong at heart, great in action, committed to our course and loyal to our nation…
We are soldiers!!!
With great zeal and gallantry….
We fight relentlessly to win yet we continue to fight to conquer insurgency and terrorism….
Just pray for us over here…
To conquer in victory so that we can return to our family,
Friends and loved ones…
To the fallen heroes…
We pray they continue to live on…While we fight to to the end in victory…
IN JESUS NAME…
Please PRAY, PRAY, PRAY for US!!
